Responsibilities:
Dr. Terry A. Solomon is a Senior Research Specialist and Director of Training for the UIC Behavioral Health Crisis Hub at the Jane Adams Center for Social Policy and Research. In this role, Dr. Solomon is responsible for developing training for the Illinois 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Call Centers, Mobile Crisis Response Teams, and 9-1-1 Telecommunicators.
Biography:
Dr. Solomon has over a decade of experience in research, program evaluation, and teaching graduate social work students. In addition, she has organized and convened public meetings and trained multidisciplinary professionals to create programs and policies infused with social justice and social work ethics, cultural competency, and pedagogical approaches reflecting the lived experiences and community values of the population served.
