Dr. Rickman Jones serves as the Program Director and Co-Investigator for the UIC Behavioral Health Crisis Hub at the Jane Addams Center for Social Policy and Research. Dr. Jones is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Hub and provides day-to-day leadership.
Biography:
With over 30 years of experience in the health care field, Dr. Rickman Jones has served as President of Behavioral Health Innovations LLC, a Chicago-based consulting firm providing evidence-based and data-informed health care solutions for private health care and governmental entities, locally and nationally. In the private sector, she served as Vice President for Behavioral Health and Strategic Innovation for a Medicaid managed care company after leaving state government where she served as the Senior Policy Advisor for Behavioral Health in the Office of the Illinois Governor. In that role she was responsible for creating, directing, and overseeing behavioral health policy development across state agencies consistent with the Governor’s major policy goals and national best practices. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Rickman Jones served as the Director of the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health (IDHS-DMH) for 8 years.
