The Behavioral Health Crisis Hub (BHCH) of the Jane Addams Center for Social Policy and Research serves as the academic partner to the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Mental Health to provide support in the implementation of Illinois CESSA (Community Emergency Services and Support Act) Legislation and the expansion and development of the behavioral health crisis continuum.  The BHCH accomplishes this by providing consultation and support to DMH, its’ state partners, service providers and other stakeholders; supporting implementation of best practices and evidence-based practices; conducting research to assist in evaluating service delivery and outcomes and recommending and planning for the enhancement of technology to support monitoring and evaluation of crisis continuum services.
