CESSA Training
Required Training for CESSA Implementation
Implementation of the Community Emergency Services and Support Act (CESSA) requires training for 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Counselors, Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRTs) funded by the Illinois Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery, and 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) telecommunicators. This training is provided by The Behavioral Health Crisis Hub (BHCH).
The BHCH uses Reach 360 as their learning management system to host the training for CESSA implementation. Each agency staff member taking part in the training will be required to create an account in Reach 360. The account will allow you to track your training courses and facilitate agency-wide reporting requirements. Registration information will be provided to agencies as part of CESSA implementation. 988 Lifeline Contact Centers (LCCs), MCRTs, and 911 PSAPs will not receive a registration link until they are onboarded as part of CESSA implementation.
Required CESSA Courses for 988 LCCs, MCRTs, and 911 PSAPs are listed below. Each list includes the required audience, refresher frequency, and a course description.
