Overview
The UIC BHCH has created four dashboards to share data about CESSA implementation: the Implementation Status Dashboard, Call-Level Dashboard (Priority Dispatch), Call-Level Dashboard (Total Response), and Call-Level Dashboard (APCO). Additional dashboards may become available in the future. See below for descriptions and links for the dashboards.
Implementation Status Dashboard
This dashboard displays CESSA status in the implementation process for public safety answering points (PSAPs) across the state

Priority Dispatch Dashboard
Displays CESSA data reported by PSAPs using Priority Dispatch with different ways to filter and sort the data

Data Available in the Dashboards
Data for Implementation Status Dashboard
- Implementation status: Whether the PSAP’s CESSA implementation is live, in progress, or not started
- Live – A PSAP site that has completed all steps required for implementation (e.g. using protocols and has ability to transfer calls for a behavioral health response)
- In Progress – A PSAP site that is working through steps required for implementation and who has participated in cohort launch meeting an activities
- Not Started – PSAP sites that are not yet participating in CESSA
- Protocol vendor: The protocol software that PSAPs use
- Priority Dispatch, Total Response, and APCO – The three main protocol software systems utilized by PSAPs in Illinois
- Independent – PSAPs that utilize emergency medical dispatch (EMD) protocols developed by the resource hospital with which they work, rather than using the EMD software of one of the protocol vendors listed above
- Law Enforcement Only – PSAPs that only utilize law enforcement protocols and do not dispatch EMS or fire
- Cohort number: Applies to PSAPs that are in progress or live

Data for Call-Level Dashboard (Priority Dispatch)
- Reported calls: Calls that appeared in weekly reports from PSAPs
- Limited to calls that used one of the protocols modified for CESSA
- Transfer initiated: Whether the PSAP began the transfer to Centerstone 988
- Geographic type: Description of whether the community served by PSAPs are rural or urban based on United States Census Bureau definitions
Data for Call-Level Dashboard (Total Response)
- Reported calls: Calls that appeared in weekly reports from PSAPs
- Limited to calls that used one of the protocols modified for CESSA
- Transfer initiated: Whether the PSAP began the transfer to Centerstone 988
- Geographic type: Description of whether the community served by PSAPs are rural or urban based on United States Census Bureau definitions
Data for Call-Level Dashboard (APCO)
- Reported calls: Calls that appeared in weekly reports from PSAPs
- Limited to calls that used one of the protocols modified for CESSA
- Transfer initiated: Whether the PSAP began the transfer to Centerstone 988
- Geographic type: Description of whether the community served by PSAPs are rural or urban based on United States Census Bureau definitions
